Squash Update: 21 July 2021

Joburg Squash had planned to resume league at the end of July 2021 however, due to the current Lockdown Restrictions this is not possible. As soon as the current Lockdown Restrictions are eased we will resume league matches. We are hoping that we will be able to resume league matches in August which will give us enough time to complete the league season. Joburg Squash will keep you updated regarding the resumption of league matches.

Reminder of the current REVISED LEVEL 4 RESTRICTIONS:
· No “Play and Stay” but “Play and Go”
· 50% of club courts to be used only
· No league/organised matches or tournaments – just social/friendly games
· Clubs to close at 8pm sharp to enable people to return home before curfew
· No alcohol to be sold at clubs
· Only singles no doubles
· Masks to be worn upon entering and leaving club. Masks only to be taken off on court
· Change rooms and toilets to be only used in case of an emergency. No showers or saunas etc.
· All players using courts need to be a current registered player with Squash SA through http://www.SportyHQ.com
· No sharing of equipment
· No wiping hands on walls of courts
· No water fountains – bring you own water
· Sign in procedures, sanitising and temperature checking on a recorded register
· No guests or spectators
· Only Return to Play approved Clubs to be open
